Waiting for Diego - Frida Kahlo Reimagined Series - 9 x 12 Oil Painting by k Madison Moore

It's as if I can almost see Frida Kahlo, the iconic Mexican artist, sitting in a lush, vibrant setting, surrounded by the majestic beauty of peacocks. The blue gown she wears is a stunning shade, almost like the sky on a clear summer day, and it catches the light in a way that makes her eyes sparkle.

The glass of red wine in her hand is a perfect accompaniment to the elegance of the setting, and the way it glows in the soft light makes it seem like a precious gem. The fact that she's surrounded by peacocks adds a touch of whimsy and fantasy to the scene, as if she's in her own private world, separate from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

And then, there's the hint of Diego Rivera, Frida's beloved husband. The glass of wine waiting for him on the nearby table is a subtle reminder of their relationship and the love that they shared. It's as if Frida is waiting for him to return, and the wine is a symbol of their bond and their love for each other.

Overall, this scene is a beautiful tribute to Frida's artistry and her ability to capture the beauty and drama of life on canvas. It's as if I can almost see her painting this scene, with bold brushstrokes and vibrant colors, bringing it all to life in a way that's both intimate and public.

Frida - Reimagined Series

Frida Kahlo Inspired Artworks

This is my new fun and creative project! Reimagining Frida Kahlo as if she were still living in modern times is a great way to pay homage to her legacy and artistic spirit. A way to keep her a live. The idea of depicting her in everyday scenarios, doing ordinary activities, things she may or may not have done if she were with us today. This is my way to humanize her and make her more relatable to contemporary audiences. These painting stories are realized completely from my overactive imagination and not necessarily true.
