Peaceful Moments

This is a lovely and intimate portrayal of Frida Kahlo! It's as if we've caught a glimpse of her in a quiet moment of contemplation, surrounded by the things that bring her comfort and joy.

The warm glow of the candlelight casts a soft, golden ambiance over the scene, which is beautifully juxtaposed with the serene and peaceful view of the mountain lake outside the window. The contrast between the warm, cozy atmosphere inside and the calming, natural beauty outside creates a sense of tranquility and serenity.

Frida herself is depicted in a relaxed pose, with her book open on her lap and her eyes lost in thought. Her expression is contemplative, as if she's absorbing the words and ideas from her book. The books surrounding her are likely filled with stories, poetry, and philosophy, which were some of her favorite subjects.

The painting also captures Frida's love of nature and the outdoors. The mountain lake view outside the window is a reminder of the beauty and wonder that exists beyond her own world. The stillness of the water reflects the calmness of her surroundings, creating a sense of symmetry and balance.

Overall, this painting is a beautiful tribute to Frida's love of reading, nature, and quiet contemplation. It's a reminder that even in the midst of chaos and turmoil, there is always beauty to be found in the simple things.

Frida - Reimagined Series

Frida Kahlo Inspired Artworks

This is my new fun and creative project! Reimagining Frida Kahlo as if she were still living in modern times is a great way to pay homage to her legacy and artistic spirit. A way to keep her a live. The idea of depicting her in everyday scenarios, doing ordinary activities, things she may or may not have done if she were with us today. This is my way to humanize her and make her more relatable to contemporary audiences. These painting stories are realized completely from my overactive imagination and not necessarily true.
